Ramona Mae "Sue" Romike
December 23rd, 1930 - February 19th, 2026
Ramona Mae "Sue" Romike was called home to rest on February 19th, 2026, after a short illness that left her wanting to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born in Rolla, North Dakota, and raised on a dairy farm in Belcourt, to Arthur and Alta Bush Jensen. She graduated from Rolla High School. She married the love of her life of 50 years, Harold Bernard Romike, in the Methodist Church in Rolla, North Dakota, and moved to Robstown, Texas, where they raised two boys. Sue started working for State National Bank of Robstown as a clerk, and as 40 years passed, she rose to vice-president, personal banker, achieved an Associate's degree in Applied Science, Banking and Finance from Del Mar College, and happily retired from her banking career.
Sue was a member of Sons of Herman of Texas, actively involved with the Wesley Community Center, and later volunteered at Spohn Hospital. Over the years, she enjoyed square dancing, classical dancing, playing cards and dominoes, and cruises. She enjoyed traveling domestically and over numerous continents, experiencing many cultures and adventures. She memorialized her travels in her talent for scrapbooking and lovingly captured the lives of each family member by making each one a scrapbook.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harold Bernard Romike; her parents, Arthur and Alta Bush Jensen; and her brother, Raymond Howard Jensen.
She leaves behind two sons: Harold Ray (Celia) Romike of Pflugerville, Texas, and Ty Lamar (Nita) Romike of Mathis, Texas. Four grandchildren: Linda (James III) Davis, Philip Romike, Kimberly Romike, and Dustin Romike. Six great-grandchildren: Angelique Romike-Duran, Juliet Davis, Vanessa Davis, Corina Romike, Colton Hunter, and Aayla Romike. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will include: James Davis III, Philip Romike, Dustin Romike, Colton Hunter, Todd Jensen, and Joshua McDermott.
Honorary pallbearers include Tray Romike, Steve Jensen, Chuck Bockholt, Richard Gillespie, Paul Davis, and Frank Pena.
