Robert Andrew "Bob" Otto

Bob passed peacefully at Get Caring Hands Hospice Home, surrounded by his loved ones and staff. Bob was born in Los Angeles, California, to Charles and Bonnie Otto. He was the 4th of 5 children. Benny, Jack, Charlie, Bobby, and Barbara. The family moved to Oklahoma (Bonnie's home state) in January 1946. His dad was first a high school band director, then followed the call to become a Methodist Minister, so Bob attended many different schools. He graduated in 1961 from Lenapah, Oklahoma High School. After High School, Bob enlisted in the Marine Corps. He was a prison guard and then spent one year in Vietnam. After his tour, he returned to Ada, Oklahoma, where he met and married Patricia Ann Jones.

Bob and Pat have 3 sons, David, Mark and Matthew. Bob reenlisted in the Marine Corps and returned to Vietnam. For his service, he received several commendations, including a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After returning home, he and Pat enrolled in OU. Pat studied nursing, and Bobby sought a degree in architecture. After receiving his degree, Bob worked for a construction company in Oklahoma City. He took a vacation to Corpus Christi, and when he returned home, he and Pat packed up and moved to Corpus Christi. He was finely able to accomplish his lifelong dream of living by the water so he could go fishing anytime he wanted. His other goal was to construct buildings. Bob was employed at WKMC Architects firm and worked on many projects throughout Texas and other states.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bonnie Otto, two brothers, Jack and Benny, and his wife Patricia.

He is survived by his sons, David (Janet), Mark (Yvette), and Matthew (Lisa), Grandchildren: Amanda, Allison, Ryan, and Max, Great-grandchildren: Mason, Caleb, and Hudson, his brother Charles and sister Barbara, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was Loved by many and will be missed by all.
