Bob, proud of his Czech heritage, taught his girls to sing, polka, and waltz. Bob and his family were faithful members of the St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, where Bob ushered and served for many years.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, brothers: Johnny Slovak, Jerry Slovak, Ernest Slovak, William Slovak, Adolf Slovak, Pete Slovak, infant Jimmy Slovak, and Frank Vanek; and sisters: Shirley Johnson, infant Dorothy Slovak, infant Patricia Slovak, Mary McNary, Jodie Ennis and Leona Pavlicek.
