Robert Wayne Whitley, Jr., 59, of Robstown Texas, passed away on April 1st, 2026. He was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico on July 16, 1966 to Robert Wayne Whitley and Margaret Mary McKenzie. He attended Banquete High School and graduated from Calallen High School in Calallen, Texas in 1984. He also attended the University of Houston. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, music and the outdoors. Robert had a gift for making people laugh. His humor was effortless and one of his greatest joys was bringing happiness to others.
He was someone who lived his life with kindness at the center of everything he did, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. A selfless spirit with a heart of gold, he would give the shirt off his back and did in fact do that more than once. Above all else, he loved his children and grandchildren deeply. Being a father was his greatest pride and his most cherished role.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dub and Dorothy Whitley, Fredrick Wayne and Margaret Maisie Cushing. His faithful companions, Beebs and Cheeks.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Margaret Mary McKenzie (Mike); Robert Wayne Whitley and Linda Whitley; his children Lauren, Morgan, Dylan (Grace) and Mary-Pat Whitley; his aunts and uncles Frances Cook, Maeleen and Joe Wright, Marsha and Ric Howard, Kathleen Holly; his brother James William (Bill) Whitley; sister Amy Elizabeth Williams (TJ); Nieces and nephews Cooper, Porter, and Preston Storm, Whitley Williams, Walker W. Whitley, William H. Whitley; His grandchildren Jett A. Taylor, Jude A Taylor, Livy G. Whidden and Rhemi J. Hall.
