Roy Carroll Rouse, 86, of Robstown, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on March 14, 1940, to Ruth and Hobert Rouse, Roy lived a life defined by strength, quiet wisdom, a great sense of humor, and deep devotion to his loved ones and his Lutheran Church.

• Roy grew up in Mathis, Texas, graduating from Mathis High School in 1958 and served honorably in the US Army.

• Roy spent over 35 years in the oil and gas industries, retiring from Citgo.

• Roy enjoyed all things golf (4 hole in ones), rooting for TX & US in all sporting events, trying new recipes, crossword puzzles, and attending the many life celebrations with all his family.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 47 years, Gloria; his children, Cindy and Tammy; his grandchildren, Andrew, Ally, Garrett, and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Cutter, Charlie, Norah, Sterling, Hazel, and Birdie; his brother Tom and sister Linda.  He was preceded in death by his son, Roy C. Rouse Jr. “Cutter”; his parents, Ruth and Hobert; and his siblings, Betty, Rex, Joyce, and Bob.

Roy taught his family the value of great story telling and showing up when it matters most. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
