Roy Neal Stone, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather died peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on January 13, 1942, in Odem, Texas to Roy Lee and Annie Doris Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leroy Stone, and his wife Barbara Ann Stone. He is survived by two sons, Guy Neal (Ellie) Stone and Kevin Neal (Amy) Stone and a daughter, Tabitha Stone Lugg. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, William Stone, Jo Marie Stone, Samuel Stone, Margaret Meyer, Wesley Lugg, and Kaitlyn Lugg. In addition, he is survived by his 4 great-grandchildren, Blair Stone, Palmer Stone, Lynlee Meyer, and Elizabeth Meyer. He married the love of his life in 1961 and together they shared 54 years of marriage. He is best remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially hunting and photography. He is also a former boy scout Scoutmaster. Services will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Calallen. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 9am to 9:30am and the funeral will be Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown. Pallbearers are Guy Stone, Jo Marie Stone, William Stone, Samuel Stone, Wesley Lugg, and Luke Meyer.
