Ryan Seth Savage passed away on October 11, 2022, at 29 years young.

Ryan Seth Savage was born on March 11, 1993, along with his identical twin brother, Adam, in San Antonio, Tx.

Ryan was a loving, thoughtful person with a big, tender heart. He would help people and give to them extravagantly. Even to strangers he just met. And especially those closest to him whom he cherished.  Ryan’s love language must have been giving. Ryan was also very talented artistically. He just won first and third awards in a Veterans art contest. Ryan was a Marine, which took much endurance, persistence, determination, strength, and hard work. Bet he liked being called “Savage” all the time. Ryan was one of the best sharp shooters in his platoon (even without his glasses). Ryan was chosen to participate in a Marine competition in New Zealand. He said it was so beautiful there. Ryan used his abundant tank of energy for that challenge. Also, for playing harmless pranks on his friends. Ryan gave wonderful examples of practicing forgiveness. He forgave many people who badly hurt and scarred him. Ryan gave forgiveness, mercy and grace to people who didn’t deserve it. May we, with the Lord’s help, do the same. May we all be inspired by Ryan’s life, loving actions, and giving heart to do likewise. We will miss Ryan tremendously and hold onto and treasure the time we were given to share with Ryan. He was such a precious gift. Ryan was also an organ and tissue donor. We pray he will live on in others…to give them hope, help and blessings…that Ryan’s life, love and light will be passed onto others.

Left to cherish Ryan’s memory are his mother, Christina (Hector) Martinez; twin brother, Adam Hooper; brother, Phillip Hooper; aunts, Angie (James) Esquibel and Julia Evans; uncle, Rich (Selina) Bost; cousins, Marshall Morley, Gabrielle Morley, Christopher Valdez, Solomon and Roman Soto, Rachel West, Victoria Wicker; and grandparents, Richard and Julie Bost.

The visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 12:30PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, with the funeral service to begin at 12:30PM. Honorable Judge James E. Teal will be officiating the funeral service.
