Sandra Jean Wright was born February 7, 1942, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Tom and Johnnie Turner. She passed away on February 4, 2024. She was a graduate of Robstown High School in 1960. Sandra played the Alto Sax in the High School Marching Band and was a twirler.
Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Gene Wright, on October 8, 1960; and were married for 54 years. Among other talents, she played the piano at First United Methodist Church in Robstown for many years.
Those who knew her knew her love and passion for shoes!
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her son, Donald G. Wright, Jr. (Lauri) from Sandia, TX; her daughter, Jana Wright from Fredericksburg, TX; her brother Steve Turner (Rhonda) from Taos, New Mexico, grandsons: Brady Hammack from Austin, Justin Wright from Paris, France, Benjamin Wright (Sami) from Sinton, TX, and Buddy Wright from Mesa, Arizona; great-grandchildren: Alana, Bradley, and Stetson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Jackson, John Miller, Brady Hammack, Justin Wright, Benjamin Wright, Buddy Wright, Craig Ewing, and Juan Gomez.
Visitation will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 6pm-8pm. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 11:30am at Grace United Methodist. Graveside will immediately follow at Memorial Park.
