Obituary

Sharon H. Phillips born June 13 1947, entered into eternal rest June 23, 2026.

Sharon and Andy were married for 59 years and enjoyed a full life together. Sharon's life revolved around service to her community and children in particular. She was a 1965 graduate of Tuloso-Midway High School to which she returned and became a special education teacher, teaching visually handicapped students. Sharon and Andy were foster parents and fostered 48 children over the years. For many years Sharon was the treasurer for the Rainbow Room, a non profit assisting children in the Child Protective System. Sharon was a charter member of Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and was an active member and elder. Among her passions was sewing and making quilts and the Saturday sewing group at the church. Sharon loved working in the yard and with her plants and flowers. 

She was Preceded in death by Mother Jean Hart, father Marion Hart and daughter Marian Phillips.

She was survived by her husband Andrew Phillips, son Andrew and wife Monica, son Bryan and wife Belinda and daughter Cynthia Whitfield and husband Shane and sisters Cathy Redinger, Trudi Borden, and Debby Arnold and husband Gary. 

A celebration of her remarkable life will be held at a later time.
