"Tre" was born on August 29, 1948 to George & Louise Schmidlkofer in Gainesville, Texas. She was the first of eight children. She was a devoted Catholic and was very active in The Journey to Damascus. Tre was a member of KJT (Catholic Union of TX), KJZT (Catholic Family Fraternal of TX), The Moravian Club of Nueces County, Czech Heritage Society of South Texas, was an avid "Bunco" player, enjoyed monthly "supper club" get together’s with her husband and close friends, dancing at the Moravian Hall, book club, and "antiquing" at the Roundtop, TX. Antique Festivals in the Spring and Fall. Tre concluded her career in insurance with McKenzie & Shell Ins. Company in Corpus Christi. Her career as an independent insurance agent spanned fifty years until she was forced to retire based on her diagnosis of leukemia last December. Tre is predeceased by her parents, brothers, Kenny, James, Robert and sister, Patsy. She is survived by her husband, Sam; daughter, Erica (Butch) Duff; son, Aaron (Brooke) Larson; granddaughter, Miale (Ryan); grandsons, Tanner, Camden & Katin; great grandson, Kai; sisters, Dot Hogue (Larry), Polly Brinkley (Earl), Donna (Rick) Hess; brothers-in-law, Charles (Pat) Morris , Victor (Debbie) Morris and sister-in-law, Karen (Rick) Huer. She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 6 PM Sunday, November 25, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet, Texas immediately followed by a Rosary at 6 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 PM Monday, November 26, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet, Texas. Burial will follow at the St. Anthony's Cemetery in Violet, Texas. Tre's pallbearers are Dennis Black, Bob Black, Mark Baize, Rick Knocke, Randy Sykora, and Lane Homeyer. Donations in Tre's memory may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Violet Historical Society or the charity of choice.
