Tobey Eric Fuqua (Husband, Father, Brother), 67, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 19, 2018. Tobey was the youngest child born to Irvin and Luceile Fuqua, October 13, 1951. He graduated from Miller High School in 1969. Upon graduation of high school, Tobey attended Del Mar College and graduated with an Associates in Electronic Engineering. He was then drafted into the U. S. Army and served two years. Upon the return from his service, he went to work at Suntide Refinery, later Koch Refinery, where he worked for 27 years. Deciding to change careers later in life, he went to work for Navy Army Community Credit Union, where he had been for 19 years prior to his death. In 1981, Tobey met and fell in love with the love of his life, Natalie Malik. They began their courtship thanks to a roommate. They married in August of 1982 and they had 36 amazing years. This marriage gave Tobey the next two loves of his life, son, Eric Lee Fuqua and daughter, Miranda Kay Fuqua. Tobey's family was his utmost priority. His wife and children never questioned his love for them, because it was unquestionable. Tobey was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Georgie; brother-in-law, Paul Bucey. Tobey is survived by his wife, Natalie; son, Eric; daughter, Miranda. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patsy Fuqua Bucey and Peggy Fuqua Hall; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tobey will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral Services will be on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 12:30 PM at Sawyer George Funeral Home Chapel Burial with full military honors will be at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery following funeral services.
