New Braunfels

A Centennial woman, Altie Faye McMannis was born August 29, 1921, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Mary Edna (McConnell) and Luther Houck. She took flight on May 3, 2022. Altie Faye grew up riding horses, picking cotton and competing with her brother Jasper in many activities that involved work; however, they made it fun.

In California, she worked at Douglas Aircraft, and then at waitressing before she found her passion working for PPG Chemical Division as a Lab Technician in Corpus.
