Barbara Nell Tinnell

Barbara Nell Tinnell, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on March 13, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1936, to William and Pearl Perkins.

Barbara graduated from Roy Miller High School and during her time there, she found happiness in the sound of music. She made All-State Choir and also sang semi-professionally in Corpus Christi. Barbara also enjoyed playing the violin and piano and continued her education at Del Mar College. As a young lady, she and the love of her life, James Tinnell, united in marriage and started their life together. Barbara became a loving mother to her two children and supported James in his ministry.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James Tinnell.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dr. William Tinnell (Suzelle) and Joyce Kim Kelly (Joseph); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 3:00PM where family and friends will meet at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
