Carol Urbanovsky

Carol Jean Urbanovsky, 79, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2022. Carol was born to parents, Edwin and Ella Mae Schroeder in Robstown, Texas on September 26, 1942. Carol graduated from Banquete High School, and was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Orange Grove.

She worked at GTE telephone company in Robstown as a file clerk, Spawglass in Houston as a file clerk,  several years at Texas A&M in College Station as a bank clerk and moved back to Robstown to work for Banquete School District as a teacher’s aid for several years and then ran the office and helped her husband, Louis, run his appliance repair business in Robstown.

Carol loved sewing and teaching her daughters how to cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edwin D. “Dick” Schroeder; her sister, Melba Ruth Jauer and her husband, Louis Ray Urbanovsky.

She is survived by her two daughters, Denise Urbanovsky and Rhonda Urbanovsky of Robstown, Texas; sister-in-law, Becky (David) Machicek of Victoria, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary (Robbie) Bates of Sugarland, Texas; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Rose) Urbanovsky of San Angelo, Texas.

The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.
