Jack Wayne Cardwell peacefully passed away in his sleep on January 2, 2022. He was born on December 8, 1933, in Robstown, Texas. He graduated from Robstown High School and attended Southwest Texas State University. He was a farmer in the Robstown, Calallen and Seadrift/Port Lavaca areas. He was an avid supporter of Calallen High School sports and, if he was able, he attended most football, baseball, and volleyball games. Jack was extraordinary and gifted horseman and raised Appaloosa horses for many years. He is preceded in death by parents, Odom and Annie Wasson Cardwell, one brother, Clayton Cardwell and sister-in-law Sue Cardwell. He is survived by one nephew, Jerry Cardwell of Robstown and one niece, Cindy Mullenix (Thomas) Of Calallen. Also surviving him are great nephew, Matt Mullenix and wife Sarah and their children Maegan, Emma and Ethan, of Corpus Christi, great niece, Dillon Duval and husband Aaron and their son Jason of New Braunfels. Additionally, jack is survived by several loving cousins and special friends Nancy and Henry Smith as well as his caring Robstown neighbors. As per Jack’s very specific instructions, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral services. Many thanks to all of Jack’s caregivers at Windsor Calallen.
