Molly Orendorff

November 13, 1951 — February 17, 2021

Corpus Christi

Molly was born on November 13, 1951 in Bigfoot, Texas. She raised 4 children, 3 daughters and a son. She married the love of her life on April 1, 1995 and lived happily ever after. Molly was an avid learner her whole life and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and crafting. She never met a stranger she couldn’t help in some way. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna, and her best friend Judy; and for that reunion, her family is eminently grateful. She is survived by her beloved husband, John; her daughter Dawn and her twins; Eric and Jeannine. She has 10 grandchildren that she adored, and 7 great-grandchildren. She cared deeply for those in need and was committed to serving the homeless community in the area. She provided needed supplies as well as love and comfort for as long as she was physically able. Her passing will be deeply mourned but we are so grateful that she is free from pain for the first time in many years.

I’M FREE

Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call: I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found my place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too shall miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow: I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savoured much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my life seemed all too brief: Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free.
