Robert Adrian Quick, 69, passed away on November 15, 2020. He was born in Sylvania, Georgia, October 10, 1951, to Adrian and Martha Quick.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and maternal grandparents, C. W. Jenkins and Gladys Jenkins and paternal grandparents, B.B. Quick and Jeanette Ward Quick.

He graduated from Statesboro High School in 1969 and was a member of the Georgia All State High School Band and American Band. He graduated from The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in 1975 where he earned a degree in Music Education. He was a member of the Ole Miss Pride of the South Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and the Mississippians Jazz Band; he was inducted into the Jazz Hall of Fame on May 11, 1991. He was a celebrated Band Director at Alice Independent School District for thirty years until his retirement.

His love of family, dear friends, and music was a central source of happiness throughout his life. He lived life to the fullest, enjoying priceless memories with his wife Lisa, precious moments with his grandson Noah, special conversations with his daughter Marissa, and enjoying vacations across the Deep South, to visit dear friends and parents; naturally, his favorite melodies were always playing in the background.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Lisa Quick; his daughter, Marissa Ortiz; his grandson, Noah Ortiz; sister, Nancy Puente and brother-in-law, Rudy Puente, both from Chicago, Illinois, and former wife, Jean Paul. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Esther Franco; brothers-in-law, Rico, Carlos (Margie), and Manuel Franco, Jr.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, numerous cousins and many life-long friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 21, 2020, 2:00 pm., at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard, Corpus Christi, TX.
