Anna Goodlett

March 10, 1930 — February 26, 2021

Corpus Christi

Anna F. Goodlett went to be with Jesus on February 26, 2021. Anna was born on March 10, 1930 in Premont, Texas to Thelma Scott Coleman and William Coleman.

Anna is survived by her three children, Patricia Reeves, Paula (Bob) St. Onge, and Mark (Debby) Jackson; eight grandchildren, Kim (Mark) Luddeke, Bill (Nelda) Reeves, Brad (Yonhui) Reeves, Brittany (Arthur) Cardona, Tara Kennedy, Bethany (Rick) Hammond, Justin (Hannah) Jackson, and Dani Frei; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Vaughn; her brother, Tommy (Veda) Wooten, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert Goodlett; daughter, Karen Kennedy; sisters, Lucille Pitts and Lorraine Woolsey; grandson, Brandon Kennedy; niece Kathy Stewart, and nephew Randy Pitts.

Our Mom and Granny was always very active in her younger years and Granny remained that way until her recent health condition began to slow her down. She raised her family and worked at Nichol’s Pharmacy for 20 years. Anna was a devoted member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and attended every fund raiser, barbecue, and dance. She and Gilbert were members of an RV travel club and enjoyed many trips in their motor home. One of their favorite spots was Yellowstone National Park, where they worked several years during the tourist season.

Her greatest joy was being with her friends and family. She was loved by so many for her witty sense of humor and quick comebacks. She loved George Jones, country music, and especially dancing. Mom, we know that you are dancing in Heaven.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her nurses Lydia and Patsy. Hugs to Aunt Betty and her friend Wilma for all their love and support.

Visitation will be held at Sawyer George Funeral Home Wednesday, March 3rd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

Anna’s “farewell party” will take place at Sawyer George Funeral Home on Thursday, March 4th at 10:00am with the graveside service immediately to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Old Brownsville Road.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Bill Reeves, Brad Reeves, Justin Jackson, Bob St. Onge, Mark Luddeke, and Rick Hammond.
