In addition to his work in the steel industry, Larry also enjoyed a wide variety of other interests. He was an avid reader, sports lover, and Civil War history buff. He also loved photography, was a bird watcher and member of the Audubon Outdoor Club. In addition, he held an FCC Extra Class Amateur Radio Operators license for over thirty years going by the call sign of N9PC. Preceding him in death are his daughter, Tricia (2007); sister, Judy (2008); mother, Fay (1994) and father Holly (1983). Mr. Botkin is survived by his loving wife, Pat; son, Robert;  grandchildren, Joseph, Margaret and Laura Kaufman.
